The existing space was centered around a prominent bar, with the rest of the room occupied by shelves, cupboards, and a small bathroom area. However, these features were not utilized extensively by the client and occupied a significant amount of space. This presented an opportunity to expand the living area and create a more functional and inviting environment.

The client requested several key changes to enhance the space. These included a complete redesign of the stairs, the removal of the cupboards and shower area, and the addition of a wine cellar. They also wanted to incorporate a dedicated storage area behind the bar, a comfortable sitting area, and warmer lighting to create a more welcoming ambiance.
