During "design week" at university, we had the choice to choose between 3 briefs to complete a full design in 7 days.
The brief chosen was from the design consultancy SeymourPowell.
"Enhance an existing personal device or home appliance through modularity"

In the 7 days, the assignment required submitting 3 presentation boards: Research board, Scenario Board and a Product Proposal Board.

Research Board
The research board was crucial in order to decide what directions to follow for the new design.
The research board consists of:
- Primary research
- Secondary research
- Ideation
- Low fidelity prototyping
- Key findings
- Proposal
The headphone design is completely modular. It consists of a frame, speakers, screen mats and ear cups. Each component can be chosen in a different colour for the consumer to customise it to their own taste.

When pressing the two buttons on the side of the headphone, each individual speaker can be removed and joined together to create a bluetooth speaker.
​
A network can be created when connecting multiple speakers together to amplify the sound being played.
